From mold
to metal.
The most affordable option for molds, with the widest selection of available manufacturers. The mold sits face down and molten alloy is poured in from the side, cooling from the face — densest at the face and spokes, so it suits multispoke and thin-spoke styles. Two-piece molds limit inner-rim pocketing and tolerances. Typical yield rate: 35%.
The high-volume option. Molten alloy is pressurized and pumped in from the face, flowing outward and up the rim, cooling from the far side — a denser rim, with four-piece molds allowing inner-rim pocketing for added strength, reduced weight and higher tolerances. Typical yield rate: 65%.
The mold starts on its side and rotates 90° so the alloy flows down to the face, filling the entire mold plus cooling channels that are machined off — uniform cooling for a strong wheel, four-piece molds for pocketing and high tolerances. Typical yield rate: 45%.
Our most advanced method: a tilt-cast alloy base wheel plus room-temperature flow forming with three roller wheels (inner and outer rims). Extreme pressure shapes the aluminum against a steel mold — no heat required — toughening the material and delivering wheels much lighter than regular cast.
